I:The motivation of application.

I have deep interesting about cars and motos and influenced by Japanese cartoons since I was a child, that's why I am always like Japan. In my high school life, although the school had chane for exchanges to Japanese high school, but I didn't have good grades at that moment, so I just like a person without ticket. To me,those kind of experience just like the dream only, nerer though it will be come ture.
After I entered university, lots of my friends have experience about exchange to other coutry. They told me that if you have an opportunity, you must give it a try. After all, coming after we finish study,we in addition to have business trip, vacation or immigration, it's almost impossible to live in other country over a week. So I set a goal for myself-at least have once exchange in the student phase.

II:The introduction of foreign internship institutions.

The founder of "一般社団法人VAN COLLAR" is Nobuyuki Sekiguchi ,a teacher who was worked in the Department of Architecture of the NUU for seven years. After leaving Taiwan for more than two years before returning to Japan, he bought a Japanese-style old building (more than 100 years) in Fuefuki City, Yamanashi as his home and HQ.
Mr.関口 tried to integrate and innovate with old things through some new things. He used his home as a place to widely welcome of art fields; architecture, crafts, liberal arts, nature and cultural studies, and etc. They aim to improve the society through creative activities with the members who wish to join.

III:Learning experience of foreign internship.

Most of what I have learned here is about architecture. Although the woodworking industry had ever in contact for more than half a year, some basic issues are not big problems, but the filed about architecture, such as measure and using some tools, is not familiar to me.
Thanks for teacher and other members tolerance. From the beginning - digging the foundation to the last part - wall , day by day of constant "revise", until the best.
Although it is really hot to have about half of the month working in the strong sunshine, while all the work is completed, not only has the sense of

accomplishment of “completed”, but also how to coordinate and
communicate with teams in different fields. There are also a lot of knowledge

and skills about architecture, which are hard to get in my own department.

IV:Foreign life experience

1.Daily life:

For the first time, a Japanese-style traditional house that is housed in a house of more than 100 years old, in addition to witnessing the fine craftsmanship of wood, can also see the renovation and the integration of new things in the house. forming a kind of "mixed beauty."

About daily life, only cooking is not my original daily life, others, such us laundry, drying clothes, cleaning the room, etc., similar my daily life. In order to maintain the traditional characteristics of the house, the room here is not air-conditioned. Although it is only 26 degrees or even lower in the evening, but sometimes the night without wind and sultry night is very uncomfortable. There is no dryer here, so if you want to let the clothes dry in the rainy day, you can only use the industrial electric fan to help it dry. At night, wild pigs are often visit our farm land. To keep our save,Mr.関口 asked us stay in side. Besides, once when we were working at farm, the neighbor came and told us there had bear infested , WATCH OUT!!!!

2.Leisure and holiday:

Our HQ is located in a place where is not alot of lights, aslong as the clouds are thinner at night, you can basically enjoy the whole starrysky as you look up, and I also grasp this rare opportunity to try to capture it.

Sometimes Mr.関口 bought some fireworks and let us play in the garden.

As for the off-day of the weeks , to avoid the weekend crowd, so the holiday is on Wednesday and Thursday. I catch these days to experience so many kinds of Japanese life. Shopping, dining and overnight in the downtown or hotspring village, I also rented a car to Lake Yamanaka near Mount Fuji and visited Gotemba City. Unfortunately, it was a rainy day so I couldn't took some photo shot about beautiful view ...

V:What I learned and got?

1.Communicate rationally and coordinate when working with people in different fields.
2.Experience the customs and customs of different countries, feel the local life and try tointegrate.
3.Through the theory and understanding of the course, and to use it.
4.When I am in an unfamiliar environment, challenge my ability to adapt.

5.Learn to face and solve problems that I might not encounter.6.By interacting with local people to promote cultural exchanges between differentcountries, learn from the advantages and improve shortcomings.

VI:Summary

In the days of Yamanashi exchange although only about a month, day life is quite compact and full. Communicate in English is not too difficult to me, and both of Mr .関口 and Mrs. 関口 can be considered fluent in English, body language and translating by mobile phone, even joyful chat is not a problem. I think people can communicate with each other as long as they have the mind.

but still sometimes People who can't speak in English, such as their son and daughter ,􀀁local Japanese artists, neighbors and deliverymen, etc., even sometimes a bit embarrassing at first, but we can still communication with each. In an unfamiliar environment, I am greatly helped by other people. Whether the members in HQ or traveling outside, they give me a hand so many times. Such as when I was waiting for the bus on the side of the road, I was not sure which side is correct. An enthusiastic lady helped me to ask the local people and also rode the her scooter to the front of the road to confirm whether the bus would come. The neighbors are also quite friendly. They occasionally take some crops to send us,ex:peachs and potatos. Although the teacher-student relationship can't let us ask for help as parents. After all, the teacher hopes that we can learn to be independent, but sometimes also such us our family, communicates with us, understands our situation, even drinking alcohol togethere and talking somethings heart to heart. I never had this kind of feeling. This is a very special relationship. It is as close as a family, and there is a friendship like a friend. It is the sentimentality of the time gone so fast. These people who were known during the Yamanashi life, whether daily partners or people known outside, have already to the moments of separation. This makes me feel sad, although I will visiting there again, but life is unpredictable. Maybe this is the last opportunity to see each other in this life. I don’t know if I can see each other in the future. I will miss this friendship and wonderful time. Because of this opportunity for exchanges, I was able to meet these people, and the exchanges with each other also created many fond memories. On the other hand,In terms of interaction with the Japanese, I realized the various responsibilities and pressures of being a communication worker. Although most of the life at HQ revolves around architecture, I also grasp various opportunities as a literary and communication person. photos, videos, and my knowledge, sharing all kinds of things in Taiwan or the experiences I have encountered in Japan with the Japanese, and sometimes there are some tendencies that are more abstract or abstract and cannot be directly and smoothly translated through language. Expression, but with my emotions and body language, I was surprised to find that even from different cultural backgrounds, they were able to get a general idea of what I wanted to express. After many conversations and interactions, I feel even more deeply that the sparks and reflections that cultural exchanges collide are more thought-provoking. Through communication tools other than language, sometimes they may also carry culture. These media are the ones that show my culture and then pass on different cultures to others. This is my greatest achievement.
